World Congress on Genetic Counselling 2017

Empirical data from the English-speaking results of the Your DNA Your Say survey was presented at the World Congress on Genetic Counselling. Anna demonstrated how the lessons learnt from the Socialising the Genome project (use of film in public engagement) were applied to a new survey to gather attitudes towards genomic data sharing.

With an audience of 220 genetic counsellors, genetic nurses, policy makers, bioethicists, social scientists, medics, scientists from 24 different countries there was an opportunity to share public attitudes towards the use of DNA in research by clinicians, non-profit researchers and for-profit researchers.
