I believe that images can speak louder than words when trying to make an impact. The importance of pictures, video and audio recordings, when explaining a specialist topic to a wider audience, is imperative if you want to engage everybody in society. The Research & Dialogue group studies ethical rights surrounding genetics and makes this information accessible to the public, empowering society to make their own choices regarding their personal DNA. Having the opportunity to be part of a team that is working towards making a difference to everybody’s future is inspiring and rewarding.

Emma assists with the day to day scheduling of the Research & Dialogue group. She has an extensive background in administration having worked at the National Maritime Museum for the past 9 years in the Picture Library. Working closely with the museum’s Photography Department she has an eye for aesthetics and enjoys using pictures to explain complicated topics.
