ABOUT RAW SCIENCE FILM FESTIVAL (from their website):

Raw Science Film Festival (RSFF) is an annual event that takes place in Los Angeles, California and brings together people across science, technology, entertainment and media to showcase best in class film and media from around the globe. This event was initially made possible through the support of the National Academy of Sciences and The Science and Entertainment Exchange. The mission of the Raw Science Film Festival is to humanize science and bring fact-based experts to the forefront of popular culture by celebrating the best science storytelling in the world.

The 6th annual Raw Science Film Festival is in April 2020. It includes a red carpet awards ceremony and conference (Raw-Con) in Los Angeles followed by the Latin American Film Market on the northwest coast of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The film market facilitates the buying and selling of science media content and production services (the “Orange Economy”). The top two rated feature films will win Oscar qualifying theatrical runs in LA.

The 2020 edition of the festival, initially scheduled for April of that year, has been postponed until February 2021 due to Covid-19.
