A key position paper on the global explosion in human genetic research will be published in the next few weeks. The American Society of Human Genetics, which has 8,000 members internationally is holding its annual meeting this week, attended by global experts in the field. It’s oldest and largest international human genetics conference worldwide.

We spoke to Dr Anna Middleton, Head of Society and Ethics at the Wellcome Genome Campus – who is contributing to a Group looking at the issue of editing embryos.
